What the scam says

Government impersonator: 'Your Social Security number has been suspended. To protect your assets during our investigation, withdraw $5,000 from your bank and deposit it at a Bitcoin ATM at [address]. I'll give you a QR code.' Or utility threat: 'Your power will be shut off in 2 hours unless you pay $800 at a Bitcoin ATM.' Instructions always include a QR code to scan at the machine.
